Show Notes

  • Doreen Irvine: Her testimony kept changing over and over again.
  • Michelle Remembers: A book published that acted as a catalyst to the hype surrounding child ritual abuse.

Third Issue of the Magazine Now Available
The third issue of the digital magazine is available for download

There was a slight delay in getting the magazine published.  For that reason, I shall dedicate two issues to Debian Wheezy in the future.  In this issue, we cover the following:

./

I acquire yet another desktop system from Central Pawn in Warrensburg, Missouri.  By acquiring at least two more systems with NVIDIA graphics, I'll have enough varied hardware to fully evaluate different operating systems.

Unix

Open source is a very popular concept, but Free Software takes things a step further.  Trisquel GNU/Linux is endorsed by the FSF and enshrines the philosophy of Free Software.  How does it stack up against counterparts with proprietary drivers/software?  Read this issue to find out.

Overlooked Pop Culture

Stephen Kelley reviews a fan made ECW Documentary.

Child sexual abuse can be a traumatizing experience. As it turns out, it can crop up in more places than previously thought.

Episode 9: Cheap or free electronics!
Ever shopped for a computer and realized that you couldn't afford it? Stephen and Thomas discuss legal ways of obtaining electronics cheaply or even at no charge.

Show Notes

No matter where you search for computers and electronics, always keep in mind that caution is very important.  Always ask for a receipt where applicable.  If on E-Bay, check the seller's listing.  If you're using Craigslist, always meet in a public place where other people are surrounding you.  Whenever possible, make sure there is a paper trail.  If there is none, create one.

E-Bay: Website devoted to selling unwanted items.  You can even make a profit depending on what you sell.
Craigslist: Free online classifieds can be listed here.  This is a great place to obtain computers and electronics.

If at a pawn shop, always take a can of air to whatever you buy.  You never know where it came from.
