For those who are able to view this episode on YouTube, you're in for a treat. Steven Tompkins demos Android L and Firefox OS. Bada and Tizen are also discussed as well. Bada was merged with Tizen, yet Tizen's availability is delayed in Russia.
Ubuntu Touch is also going through a delay of its own.
These delays may hurt the viability of other mobile operating systems. Windows Phone 8 exists, but is nowhere near as dominant as Android and iOS. Ironically, Bill Gates himself predicted the takeoff of mobile computing.
Speaking of iOS, despite battery drainage issues, version 8 seems to be intriguing in terms of new features. As for whether mobile devices will replace desktops, both hosts concluded that they won't entirely do so.
